Product:
Junos Space
Summary
A Use of a Broken or Risky Cryptographic Algorithm vulnerability in the TLS/SSL server of Juniper Networks Junos Space allows the use of static key ciphers, reducing the confidentiality of on-path traffic communicated across the connection. These ciphers do not support Perfect Forward Secrecy, affecting the long-term confidentiality of encrypted communications. This issue affects all versions of Junos Space before 24.1R5.
Details
| Severity | Base Score | CVE |
|---|---|---|
| HIGH | 8.2 | CVE-2026-21907 |
Exploitation
To exploit this vulnerability, an attacker can intercept and analyze the traffic between the client and the server. By using static key ciphers, the attacker can decrypt the traffic, compromising the confidentiality of sensitive information. This can be achieved through man-in-the-middle attacks, where the attacker positions themselves between the communicating parties to capture and manipulate the data being transmitted.
Affected Products
- Junos Space: All versions before 24.1R5 are affected by the use of static key ciphers, which compromise the confidentiality of encrypted communications.
Mitigation
To mitigate this vulnerability, it is recommended to upgrade to Junos Space version 24.1R5 or later, which addresses the use of static key ciphers. Additionally, organizations should review their cryptographic configurations to ensure that only secure algorithms are used, and implement monitoring to detect any unauthorized access attempts.
